#2- Westinghouse WGen7500 Portable Generator

Westinghouse released this latest model in 2019, equipped with easy to use features. This portable generator is running at 7500 watts and starts with 9000 wats. The unique point about this generator is durability and portability.

It requires minimum assembly, all you need to do is to get it out of the box and get it started.

One of the awesome things about WGen7500 it has a built-in fuel gauge, something that is missing from Honda generators. If it’s low on oil it will automatically shut it off.

It’s CARB, CSA and EPA approved.

WGen7500 has the ability to cover your home power needs for extended period of time.

It has a 6.6-gallon gas tank.

You’ll also like the superb after service, it’s reputation is magnificent.

The brand name behind this generator has been in the market for years with consistent superb quality.

  • Produces plenty of power and doesn’t bog down with high surge loads.
  • Included instructions were clear on how to convert the generator to a floating neutral (most homes with a transfer switch).

Cons:

  • Heavy (but not bad to move with the wheels).  a bit over 200 pounds. Not easy to store or transport.

#3- Champion Power Equipment 100302 Digital Hybrid

Champion-Power-Equipment-100302-3500W-Digital-Hybrid-RV-Ready-Portable-Generator

It’s unique for being quieter than other open frame generators. An inverter generator which looks like a normal generator, and sounds a little bit quieter than a normal generator.

But do note if you’re shopping among the quietest inverter generators, this probably isn’t the model for you. The Champion 100302 is not a “whisper” generator. Actually, it isn’t as expensive as other inverter generators precisely because they didn’t include the extra sound dampening components found in those really quiet models. Without the extra dampening, it still manages to be just a bit quieter than regular generators.

Where this unit shines is in its clean output that is ideal for running sophisticated electronic devices. It’s useful for very sensitive devices to line conditions and devices that will drop out to battery mode at the tiniest variances.

The 292cc engine keeps the generator from going into overload with higher start-up wattage demands when in eco mode.

It has a smaller gas tank than the first two, 2.9 gallons that allows it to run for up to 17 hours at quarter load. Rated at 64 dB from 23 feet away.

It has a low oil shutdown, overload protection, and automatic voltage regulator. The control panel is unique and easy to visualise all controls in one place. Has two 120V household outlets, one 120V RV outlet, and a 12V DC outlet.

The Champion Power Equipment 100302 digital hybrid makes a great solution for recreation use and can also be a great solution for backup power during emergencies.

  • Affordable price. If you don’t want to spend that much on generators, then this is for you.

Cons:

  • The wheel attachment accessory is costly and very awkward to maneuver.
  • Very heavy to lift.

gas fueled generator with great features. Including a 30 amp RV outlet and cold weather, engine start feature.

This generator is rated at 4000 starting watts and 3500 running watts, and runs for 12 hours at 50% load. Great power, and hardly you’ll face any problem running A/C with Coffee or Crock Pot running.
